Sometimes you just need to let yourself ‘be’ Do you sometimes feel that life is just rushing by in this fast paced, hectic world we live, where we are constantly striving to be ‘the good enough’ parent? I know I certainly do. Life is so full of distractions and worry about what the future might hold for any of us, but in particular our...

  • Cloth Nappy Myths Busted!

    by A ReUsable Life

Since starting out with cloth I have heard a plethora of wild and bizarre statements so I thought I would quash a few of the right here, right now.  The one true fact about cloth that can be a bit scary is that there is so much choice but really that’s like one of those ‘positive negatives’ that you have ready to wheel out...

The Brand Milovia are a Polish company that have an ever rapidly growing fan base in the UK over the past three or so years since they started out in 2013. They sell a range of beautiful and functional fluffy goodness. I have been a fan ever since I came across their brand but in the last six months or so have really fallen...

  • Tots Bots: Something for everyone…

    by A ReUsable Life

I’m a massive fan of Tots Bots and have been from the word go. I first discovered cloth nappies when I was pregnant with Arthur. Me and hubby were at the national baby show and stumbled across the Tots Bots stand. They were super helpful and we got so excited by the idea that we made the investment there and then in a birth to...

    by A ReUsable Life

This month I’ve been joining in with plastic free July and have been talking about reducing our single use plastic waste. Although the ultimate goal is to live ‘plastic free’, the most important thing is to cut down on plastics that have a life span of a few minutes. Coffee cups, straws, carrier bags and water bottles are four of the main offenders. Something...

  • Mother’s Day Eco Craft: Daffodil Bunting

    by A ReUsable Life

If your child is anything like Arthur, their attention span for crafting will be similar to that of a small fish. I used to find this incredibly frustrating, but now I try to find activities that either hold his interest, or are broken down in bite sized messy chunks. If I try to provide too much (well actually, any) structure the whole thing quickly...

I spent some much needed quality time with the hubby today. Having small children is both wonderful and challenging in equal measures. Sometimes it feels like by the time you’ve given your all to the littles in your life there isn’t much room for anyone else. But it’s so important to take time to reconnect as adults, as a couple, as people not parents. We are not that great at setting time aside to do that to be honest so today was amazing. I would love to hear your tips for making time for each other 💚 #myecofamily #mindfulparenting
Are you excited for #realnappyweek yet?! For those of you that haven’t heard of it before, it’s a fantastic opportunity to learn about cloth nappies, but most importantly an opportunity for the #clothnappy community to come together and help spread the fluffy love! @babipur have loads of fun stuff planned and of course some amazing giveaways. So if you’ve been thinking you might #giveclothago then definitely join in and see what it’s all about 💚 #myecofamily #lovebabipur
School holidays // As much as I love having Arthur around during the school holidays, it is challenging trying to juggle work, childcare and general life. The break in routine seems to set us all in a bit of a spin!! Does anyone else find that? . . . But today the sun is shining and I am feeling a bit more on top of life. I collected some leaves with the boys and made time for a little #naturalmandala on our walk this morning 🌱💚
Suddenly the garden seems to be sprouting colour all over the place! These beautiful leaves inspired my @babipur #babipurmandala when I look at it I feel like they are swaying in the breeze! Hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend 💜 #myecofamily #lovebabipur @joguines_grapat
This isn’t a traditional #Mandala but as I sat down to create something for my #babipurmandala this is what evolved. It took a lot of concentration and focus to place the Grapat pieces on top of the sides of the Gwawr @babipur rainbow. I definitely held my breath whilst taking the photo 🤣 #myecofamily #lovebabipur #mindfulparenting @joguines_grapat @grimmswoodentoys
Finally a sunny day when I am not working!! It feels like spring is really taking its time to appear but today has been wonderful. So finally I managed to be outside to practice mindfulness and create my @babipur #babipurmandala and it was so lovely to feel the warmth of the sun and listen to the birds singing. Very simple design but I really needed the calm and space this gave me today 💚 #myecofamily #lovebabipur #mindfulparenting @joguines_grapat
